The economical situation in Denmark is stable, because of the unemployment rate, export and GDP indications. The exports table shows, that during last year, the export was varying from 46,000 million kr. to 54,000 million kr. per month. But it can be easily noticed, that the export since September 2008 has started to become lower by an average of six percent per month.
The decrease in export could be defined because of the increased unemployment rate. During the last year, each month the unemployment rate was the same – 1,7% of the labor force. But in October 2008 it started to increase and at the moment is as high as 2,1%.
The increased unemployment rate and lower export have led into the negative GDP growth and increasing inflation. In 2008 GDP was -0,8% and in 2009 it is assumed to be -1,6. The inflation during 2008 was 3,4%, but in 2009 it will stabilize into 1,9%.
In conclusion, the situation in Denmark during the financial crisis in between with, i.e. United Kingdom is much more better, because Denmark does not have a debt in budget, has a low unemployed persons percentage.
